Please read these terms carefully before booking your move with Victoria On Move.

1 Legal Status

Victoria On Move Pty Ltd is not a common carrier and accepts no liability as such. These terms and conditions govern the provision of our moving and removal services.

By booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined on this page.

2 Booking & Estimates

When you contact us to book a move, you must provide accurate details including addresses, access information, and a list of items to be moved. We will use this information to estimate the vehicle size and time required for your move.

Please note that any estimate provided is not an itemised inventory. Final charges are based on actual time and resources used.

3 Cancellation Policy

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule your move, please notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled job start time to avoid a cancellation fee.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled move may incur a fee to cover costs already incurred by our team.

4 Parking Policy

Our team will always endeavour to park safely and legally at your pickup and delivery addresses. We will not park in Clearways or other locations that may result in infringements or towing.

Any parking fees or infringements incurred during the job will be added to the final job cost. If parking restrictions at your address may cause complications, please inform us before the move so we can plan accordingly.

5 During the Move

Clients must disclose any fragile, high-value, or unusually heavy items before the move commences. This allows us to bring the appropriate equipment and take extra precautions.

Victoria On Move reserves the right to decline to carry certain items that we deem unsafe or inappropriate, including but not limited to:

  • Hazardous materials, chemicals, or flammables
  • Items that are structurally unsound or at risk of breaking in transit
  • Items that exceed our equipment's safe handling capacity

We ask that clients or a responsible person remain present throughout the move to provide instructions and confirm the placement of items at the delivery address.

6 Time & Charges

Work time is calculated from the moment our team arrives at the pickup address and concludes when payment is completed, including travel to your delivery destination.

Our hourly rates are as follows:

  • Small Truck (4.5T, 20m³) — from $125/hr with 2 movers
  • Medium Truck (6T, 30–35m³) — from $140/hr with 2 movers
  • Large Truck (8T, 40m³) — from $150/hr with 2 movers
  • X-Large Truck (10T, 50m³) — from $160/hr with 2 movers
  • 12-Ton Truck (65m³) — from $180/hr with 2 movers

Additional charges may apply for extra-heavy items (pianos, pool tables), stairs access, or parking fees as outlined above.

7 Payment Methods

Payment is due upon completion of the job. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Bank Transfer (EFT)
  • Visa Credit/Debit Card
  • Mastercard Credit/Debit Card

Please note that a credit card surcharge may apply when paying by Visa or Mastercard. We will advise you of any applicable surcharge before processing your payment.

8 Insurance & Damage Coverage

We guarantee our work and include insurance with every move. Victoria On Move Pty Ltd carries:

  • Transit Insurance — covers your goods during loading, unloading, and road transport
  • Public Liability Insurance — covers any damage caused to property at pickup or delivery addresses

In the event that any of your belongings are damaged during the move, we will discuss the matter with you and work toward a fair resolution, which may include repair, replacement, or compensation.

Insurance coverage does not apply to items that were not disclosed prior to the move, items that were already damaged before the move commenced, or items that clients declined our advice to pack more securely.

9 Client Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth move, clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate pickup and delivery addresses
  • Disclosing all items to be moved, including fragile or high-value items
  • Ensuring clear, safe access to all areas where items are to be collected or placed
  • Being present or having a representative present throughout the move
  • Covering any parking charges or infringements incurred at their property
  • Ensuring that lifts, elevators, or access areas are reserved and available for use

Failure to fulfil these responsibilities may result in additional time charges or complications that are outside our control.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
